Final Paper: I am thinking about doing Rapunzel.

Topic: How Rapunzel has shaped over time and also how it's evolved into how society is now according to the movie "Tangled"

Thesis:

Within in the tale Rapunzel, there are many important ideas that pertain to idea of marriage and greed. In the tale, Rapunzel is stripped away from her inheritance and can only gain it back through a man. Although Tangled is a supposed rendition of Rapunzel,it still portrays the idea of being saved by man but it also takes away from the meaning because of the way Disney portrays the tale.

I'm having trouble following this thesis. Let's talk about it during conferences.

Good sources, good topic, and good fairy tale!

This is a good working thesis: you're looking at the relationship between Rapunzel and Tangled. One of the main themes of Rapunzel is HUNGER (physical, sexual…). How does Tangled deal with those "hungers"? Does Disney sublimate the idea of hunger or is it still there? Why is this significant?

Your final (revised) thesis should make an argument about this relationship (between "Rapunzel" and "Tangled").
