I was thinking about exploring the differences of gender roles and stereotypes through different Cinderella tales that evolved from the Grimm fairy tale. I was thinking about looking at the Hilary Duff movie "Cinderella Story", the Disney animated version of Cinderella and Ella Enchanted.

I'm not exactly sure what this thesis means. Are you arguing that the modernization of Cinderella has not actually modernized the heroine (and thus perpetuated stereotypes)? That's a good argument!
