For my final project: I am thinking about doing the Snow Queen and comparing it to the new movie Frozen in how they transformed the snow queen from a villainous woman into a heroine.

My tentative thesis:

Aside from parting from the original narrative of Hans Christian Anderson's "The Snow Queen," Disney's "Frozen" changes the tale by challenging the traditional gender roles of women in undermining romance as well as in rewriting the villain into a remarkably relatable and likeable heroine.
