For my final paper I will be examining the frog prince tale and the disney version the princess and the frog

for my sources I will be looking at

1)the Grimm version of the tale

2.) the movie the Princess and the Forg

3) http://thewonderofchildhood.com/2011/06/the-frog-king-or-the-frog-prince/

Thesis

A kiss is not always necessarily needed to break a spell but according to Disney it is much more appropriate than throwing a frog against a wall. Societies need for a woman to be more soft and domestic rather than aggressive and independent plays a role in the differences of the Grimm version of The Frog Prince and the Disney version of The Princess and the Frog. Through slight tweaks, twists, and changes to the original tale Disney once again is able to keep the implication of a woman's true role in society as well as the higher role of the man and his need to be superior over her.

This is a great fairy tale! I'm sorry we missed it in class! Looking forward to your analysis of the visual media surrounding it!!

This is great! The clip is short, so you may be able to analyze the whole thing, but you might want to focus on specific visuals for the analysis. Looking forward to how you compare this with the literary tale!

What paper are you considering for the final paper?
