This is the thesis that I have so far for the Madwoman in the Attic reading. The actions of a true lady lie in her ability to be passive, innocent, angelic, as well in her ability to be domestic and under the rule of the male gender and if she deter from that she is to seen as a evil madwoman as seen in the stepmother/Queen. Central claims-In order to please a man one must be of angelic innocence in the hopes to appear as a proper lady should.

2. The queen is trying to get rid of the passive and innocent self she see in Snow White but in her attempt to do so she becomes evil and mad with hatred for Snow White and so tries to kill her which would imply that Snow white and the Queen may be one in the same.

3. I believe the argument to be reasonably strong. The fact that you have one extreme and then another as in the pure innocence and purity of Snow White and the evil and anger of the Queen can be seen as two side of the same coin.

It definitely could use a little work but this is what I have so far. I will try to work on it more as the next few days go by and feel free to include your own opinions, ideas here too. There will be greatly appreciated.
